Description
New version of the lengendary "SpaceTime Tap" pedal with additional features:
- Echo modulation adjustable with "Rate" and "Depth".
- More selectable subdivisions for tap tempo (quarter, eighth, eighth triplets, dotted eighth, quarter triplets).
- Active 3 band equalizer for ultimate tone control of the echoes.
- Internal jumper to switch the echo feedback signal pre/post-EQ.
- Internal switch for either "Buffered Bypass" or "True Bypass".
- Internal switch for "spill over" in buffered bypass mode.
- Internal switch for "kill dry".
The "SpaceTime Tap V2" is a handcrafted echo device. Thanks to its unique circuitry, it combines the advantages of analog and digital signal processing. The guitar signal is not digitized but processed analogue and is therefore free of latency. The character and dynamics of the guitar are fully preserved. In a parallel signal path, only the generation of the echo is realized digitally. This signal is then mixed back into the analog path. The device offers the usual control options with "Time", "Repeats" and "Mix Level". There are also two toggle switches: the first influences the timbre of the echo signal. The original guitar signal remains completely unaltered. The three gradations "bright", "mellow" and "dark" allow a targeted reduction of the treble component, so that very warm and analog echo sounds can be created. The second toggle switch controls the tap tempo subdivision of quarter, eighth or dotted eighth notes. Turning the "Time" knob overwrites the tapped delay time. An internal DIP switch allows you to switch between "true bypass" or "buffered bypass", "kill dry" and "trails on/off".
This pedal is equipped with the unique "MagTraB" switching technology:
Inside the button a magnet is integrated which position is measured by a sensor on the circuit board. If the button is now moved, e.g. if it is pressed downwards, the position of the magnet will also change. The sensor measures this change without any mechanical contact to the button and the information is send via a micro-controller to a gold-plated relay, which then does the actual audio signal switching.
The advantages of "MagTraB" footswitches:
- MapTraB buttons are as good as indestructible! "MagTraB" delivers an almost infinite number of switching cycles - many, many millions!
- No annoying, mechanical switch clicks! Instead, the "MagTraB" push-buttons switch very smooth and silently!
You can choose if the pedal powers up in "on" or "bypass" state.
To change the state:
Step 1: Unplug the power supply cable.
Step 2: Hold down on/off "MagTraB" button.
Step 3: Plug in again the power supply cable.
Step 4: Release on/off "MagTraB"" button.
DONE! The next time your pedal powers up it will automatically start in the other state.
