Désignation
The SingleTwin Mini is a hum free Alnico singlecoil pickup in mini humbucker format, with low to medium output, well balanced frequency response, very dynamic attack and a brilliant sound with excellent overtone response.
Due to his construction, based on two separated single coils, each built like usual singlecoil pickups, the SingleTwin Mini produces no hum at all, but faithfully delivers an authentic singlecoil-sound.
The SingleTwin Mini measures 66 x 31.5 mm (without frame) and comes with a black pickup ring that enables installation in a standard humbucker routing. It comes with a German Silver cap and four conductors. (By the way: the SingleTwin Mini is same size as Hofner vintage pickups!)
With the innovative Duesenberg Three-Step pickup frame you can angle any pickup in humbucker size so that the surface is in parallel to the strings. This contributes to a well balanced, strong pickup signal.(Please note: In other than Duesenberg guitars, installation of the Three- Step frame might require a small modification of the pickup cavity.)
Because each coil picks up three of the six strings, a single-coil wiring like a humbucker is not possible. But you can connect the coils in parallel or stereo.
